Technology Specialist - IoT Product Engineering

Drive IoT Product and Technical features through development to deployment. Drive best customer experience by developing features for product development/improvement. Once established, drive the features to create user stories, integration, testing and deployment.

Steer product development- IoT Software Devops solutions in a Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery (CICD) development model using software engineering best practices and capabilities

You will need to have a deep understanding of how IOT products work, the technologies used in IOT devices such as Bluetooth, wifi, LTE, zigbee etc. You will need to keep up to date with latest technologies. Especially in the mobile space covering iOS, android and firmwares. Annual Salary approx. - $94,000 - $98,000.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Timely delivery of solutions to support new products being brought to market.

  • Liaise with project, product, and platform stakeholders to ensure that all requirements are captured and delivered.
  • Work with Solution Analysts, Architects and other technology specialists to forecast costs for development projects, capacity and lifecycle activities, and support contracts associated with testing infrastructure and non-production environments.
  • Deliver continuous improvement for platform and product lifecycle and delivery
  • Monitor effectiveness of operating arrangements for services and make technology adjustments where necessary and justifiable.

  • Develop, deploy, and improve specific technologies and their interaction with Telstra processes and systems to deliver products and services to customer business units in a timely and cost effective manner
  • Translate customer (internal, external or regulatory) needs and requirements, using technical principles into realisable products, services, or systems and/or networks infrastructure in a timely, quality and cost effective way to ensure operational capability to deliver customer service
  • Perform application performance, load analysis and assist in capacity planning as required to support the solution
  • Review application requirements, including functional, security, integration, performance, quality, and operations requirements.

  • Engage relevant stakeholders to understand information needs and potential information sources
  • Follow appropriate methods and processes to collect and summarise the information required

 

Qualifications and Experience required:

Mandatory

  • University Graduate in Business and Technology (Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline)
  • Ability to operate effectively in a multiple project, dynamic and fast moving environment often with conflicting priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including written and oral communication and presentation.
  • Demonstrated success in timely and cost-effective delivery of technology integration projects.
  • Experience in working with products comprising of cloud based solutions specifically in a Microsoft Azure environment
  • Mobile and web based application development experience in either iOS, Android or Windows

Desirable

  • Degree with a  business focus is highly desirable
  • Experience and demonstrated track record in the understanding and delivering IoT products
