So, what are we looking for?

We are looking for a customer facing Technical Consultant with network and wireless experience to deliver outstanding technical consulting to Telstra’s enterprise customers. Here you will be providing first class pre/post sales consulting network, wireless and security services and solutions surrounding core enterprise networks.

Joining our Enterprise Networking and Wireless team you will join us on a permanent full-time basis in our Perth CBD office. This role will provide you with exceptional opportunity to help establish the Perth team.

Key Accountabilities:

  • High & low-level designs of solutions
  • Deploy solutions and provide handover / training to customers and staff
  • Testing & evaluating solutions during and post implementation
  • Design and develop wireless solutions
  • Work both in a team environment and individually depending on engagement
  • Engage in presales conversations with customers to identify opportunities and structure engagements
  • Costings and estimations of work & profit
  • Documentation & customer presentations
  • Mitigate & solve any service disruptions due to implementation work

Stakeholder Management:

  • Build & leverage relationships internally across Telstra BTS teams such as Sales, Delivery and Projects
  • Build credibility with external stakeholders i.e. customers, vendors
  • Identify potential opportunities & collaborate to bring those to fruition

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Core Networking and Security Experience: Core route/switch/security experience including design, deployment & troubleshooting
  • Wireless Experience: experience in design, deployment and site surveys with wireless certifications.
  • Customer Facing Experience: Demonstrated experience and success performing in a customer facing position as a technical expert. Ideally with multiple customer engagements.
  • Consulting: Previous experience in providing technical consulting to either internal or external stakeholders. Led small/medium engagements whilst contribute to larger/complex engagements with some supervision.
  • Customer Engagement: Producing customer facing documentation that is presentable and requires minimal adjustments at the peer review stage. This includes having exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Certifications: CCNP or equivalent, CCNA wireless, Aruba wireless qualifications.
