Accountants and bookkeepers (Partners) are the primary channel for selling accounting software to small and medium businesses in ANZ. Leveraging digital platforms and experience to deliver at scale is core to our 3-year BOLD strategy. The role in a nutshell, is to digitise and deliver continuous improvement of the end to end Partner experience. In doing so, you will enable our sales, marketing and support teams to grow our customer and user bases by effectively acquiring, onboarding and retaining MYOB Partners.

As a Product Manager in the Marketing & Direct division, you will own the vision, strategy, product pipeline and road map for the Partner digital experience on myob.com.

The role (key deliverables)

  • Immerse yourself in all functions of the Partner division, to build knowledge, establish domain ownership and accountabilities, spark collaboration and speed up time to market.
  • Derive actionable insights from customer segmentation, qualitative user research and quantitative analysis.
  • Set the Partner digital product vision and strategy for myob.com in ANZ, aligned with product, sales, marketing and support strategies.
  • Own the creative process of generating, developing, and curating new ideas.
  • Establish quarterly objectives and key results (OKR) aligned with business goals.
  • Develop and refine a digital product backlog and roadmap for the Partner channel.
  • Prioritize initiatives based on financial impact, effort, confidence and time sensitiveness, ensuring alignment integrity throughout the acquisition and retention marketing pipeline.
  • Clearly communicate the vision, plan, objectives, performance metrics and progress of initiatives to all stakeholders, tailoring your communications to ensure relevance to each audience level.
  • Be the domain expert, representing and advocating for Partners across the business.

What you will bring

Knowledge / Experience:

  • You are an experienced product manager and have developed and prioritised a backlog for your product, managed competing stakeholder priorities to achieve optimal business outcomes. Preferably, for a large-scale online consumer, fintech or SaaS product company.
  • You have first-hand experience tracking product performance, understanding key drivers, diagnosing issues and leading research and design discussions.
  • You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.
  • You can manipulate, analyse and synthesise data into clear conclusions and recommendations for action (advanced Excel skills required).
  • You know how to influence decision making through insights and data.
  • You understand all business functions such as engineering, UX/UI, sales, customer support, Legal, finance and marketing.
  • You are experienced at communicating concepts and ideas to stakeholders at all levels, including oral and written presentations, proposals, specifications and reports.
  • You care about working in a well-functioning delivery team, working closely with a Delivery Lead, always providing context and direction.
  • You are experienced with agile methodologies and outcome-based team goals

Expertise & Tools:

  • Desirable, you are familiar with experience and analytics technology vendors and ecosystems:
  • CMS platform: AEM, WordPress, Lithium, Litmos
  • A/B testing and customer feedback: Optimizely, Hotjar, WebEngage, Qualtrics
  • Data governance and regulatory compliance: PCI security standards, PII protection
  • Web analytics & BI: Google 360, Google Data Studio, Tableau, Power BI
  • Agile process : JIRA, Confluence, Trello

Core Competencies:

  • Product Management with both technical and commercial lenses.
  •  Passion for design, insight driven decision making and digital analytics.
  • Can demonstrate a test and learn mindset and understand the role of experimentation in product development.
  • Familiar with B2B and B2C marketing.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple disciplines and teams.
  • Proactive and self-driven.
