Product Manager Insurance

ING is currently looking for an experienced product manager within insurance to come and join our high performing team. The ideal candidate be working with white-labeled insurance product as well as be experienced in planning, implementation & optimisation of an insurance portfolio. This person will also be responsible for the cross functional engagement, performance and delivery of data analysis, product and CX enhancements at ING.


Main responsibilities:

  • Supporting the definition and ensuring implementation of the long term CVP, meeting both the customer and bank needs.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of strategy and tactics for the Global ING Insurance Program locally in Australia, to ensure that growth targets are met, factoring in impacts across the retail bank.
  • Managing the day to day running of the insurance products, incorporating relationship management and monitoring/governance of our insurance partner.
  • Liaising with and presenting to senior management on the short and long term recommendations being made to enhance the insurance proposition and grow the insurance business to ensure its success.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction is maintained within the portfolio.
  • Demonstrating creative and initiative acting in a results orientated way which is always data and customer insights lead.


About you

  • Demonstrated experience in managing general insurance products – 3- 5 years
  • Experience in managing product profitability whilst delivering on customer
  • Proven experience in managing vendors and governance
  • Experience in reviewing and recommending product strategies
  • Up to date knowledge of industry developments and detailed knowledge of competitor product offerings;
  • Proven experience in preparing financials for the purpose of product enhancement and profitability monitoring;
  • Proven exceptional stakeholder management experience and skills
  • Strong and demonstrable analytical and problem solving skills, with strong attention to detail;
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills with all levels of an organisation
  • Strong presentation skills
